What are the tasks of a Technical Writer?

A Technical Writer creates and maintains the software documentation, operating instructions, online help, data sheets, release notes and training documents. He communicates with the translation agency and maintains the translated texts in documentation and source code. In addition, he supports the creation of concepts and process documentation.

Requirements for a Technical Writer

A technical writer has several years of experience in the creation of software documentation (ideally in software development) and can express himself very well in writing in German and English. Other language skills are an advantage. He is able to prepare complex facts in the form of text or supporting graphics according to the respective target group.
