What is Interim Management?
In interim management, a person with management experience is temporarily and for a limited period available to a company. This person is called an “interim manager” and is usually an experienced executive who is able to lead a company through a period of change or transformation.
It can provide a company with stability after the sudden exit of a senior executive, or provide highly specialized knowledge to a team that a company may not have internally. The path of interim management is risk-free for a company.
The position is not a permanent position, but a temporary solution. This is because companies are often unable to fill a vacancy immediately. Interim managers usually help out for three to nine months and support companies that are undergoing major change – whether they want to implement a critical strategy or need to fill a management position.
